SUSSEX PASS LAUNCHES AT THE WHITE HART

New restaurant celebrates local produce, people and flavours

This December sees the launch of a new restaurant designed to showcase the finest produce in Sussex and Kent while supporting local makers, growers and communities. Situated in Wadhurst village, in the picturesque heart of the Weald, Sussex Pass at The White Hart will be a stylish and intimate dining experience that celebrates the county’s incredible food and wine and reflects the passion of the producers who reside there.

Having survived the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020 himself and seen how hard the local community and suppliers had been hit, Sam Maynard (Hotel Du Vin, Gallivant, The Beacon) wanted to create a new food and drink offering that draws solely on the surrounding area. Sam has teamed up with a fellow local, Head Chef Adam Sear, to create a food offering that not only draws from the seasonal bounty of this beautiful part of the country, but celebrates and elevates it.

Daniel was named the Observer's Young Chef of the Year 2016 and has worked in some of the country's top restaurants including Jason Atherton's group – before settling at The Clove Club for 5 years where he was an integral part of the team that earned a Michelin star.
